Kenoaha “Ken” Ferrell, Esq., LL.M., is the founder of Inner Peace Legal Advisors, P.L.L.C. As an elder law attorney, he represents clients in every facet of elder care, ranging from Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Special Needs Planning, Incapacity Planning, Public Benefits, Guardianship, Probate and Trust Administration. Whether representing and/or advocating for the elderly, his representation/advocacy is grounded in the belief that all people should be given basic human dignity and respect, that the law should be used as a force for good and that the role of an attorney, especially an elder law attorney, is to provide clients with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that they have adequately prepared for the remainder of their lives.
In May 2020, Mr. Ferrell earned an Elder Law LL.M. degree from Stetson University College of Law (Stetson Law) which he feels has prepared him to practice at a high level in the field of elder law. While earning his Elder Law LL.M. degree, he took classes that dealt with all aspects of elder care, such as Estate Planning, Guardianship, Probate Administration, Disability, Retirement Benefits, Veterans’ Benefits, Social Security Benefits as well as other courses pertinent to the practice of elder law. These classes, along with the faculty and administrators at Stetson Law, provided him with a comprehensive grounding in the issues facing this nation’s elderly population.
Also, Mr. Ferrell has earned an LL.M. degree in International Law (with a Human Rights Law emphasis) from the University of Miami School of Law. While attending the University of Miami School of Law, he was selected to become a member of the law school’s first-ever Human Rights Clinic (HRC). His work with the HRC involved furthering the cause of human rights around issues involving immigrant rights, deportations and gender-based violence. Furthermore, Mr. Ferrell earned his J.D. degree from Howard University School of Law, located in Washington, D.C., while his undergraduate degree in political science was earned at his alma mater, the University of Miami.
Finally, in an effort to provide his clients with the greatest legal service, Mr. Ferrell is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. Also, he is a member of the Elder Law College, a group that offers “the most comprehensive, the most detailed and the most accelerated training in all Elder and Special Needs related subjects.” Ultimately, because of the pride that he takes in his work, Mr. Ferrell stays abreast of all the latest developments (past, present and future) in the field of elder law.
